A Carter Lumber Multi‑Family Component/Truss Estimator is responsible for performing detailed material take‑offs and truss‑specific estimating for multi‑family construction projects. This role requires direct experience with truss design, truss layout interpretation, and component estimating. A strong belief in the company's mission and goals, as well as a commitment to exceptional customer service, is essential for this position. This position requires direct, hands‑on experience in truss design or truss estimating, specifically within multi‑family construction. This is not a general construction estimating role. Requirements : Responsibilities : Estimating: - 3+ years of hands‑on experience in multi‑family truss design or truss estimating - General construction estimating experience alone is not sufficient - Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints specifically for truss layout - Strong understanding of multi‑family construction standards - Familiarity with professional estimating software - Proficiency in MiTek truss design software (preferred); ITW/Alpine experience is a plus - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) - Ex...
