Description $17.50/hr. and a Free YMCA Membership This is a seasonal position. Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Unit Head will manage all functions and staff of specified unit. The Unit Head will organize and develop unit programming for specified age groups. This position will also support the Counselors. Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times. The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage all functions and staff for specified unit. - Organize and develop unit programming for specified age group. Ensure proper programming is being delivered according to YMCA standards. - Assist Team Leaders with camper behavior issues and intervene when necessary. - Support Team Leaders in maintenance of respective shelter, equipment, and supplies. - Compile and submit accurate daily attendance, program reports, incident reports, and other necessary documentation. - Oversee camper behavior management process in unit. - Maintain open communication with parents...
