Urban is seeking a licensed land survey professional to manage a portfolio of projects for its survey department in our Chantilly, VA office . The ideal candidate would be trained and mentored to advance and lead the survey department. Urban Ltd. provides full-service civil engineering, transportation engineering, land planning, landscape architecture, and surveying services to private and public sector clients throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Compensation Range: $110,000 - $180,000 RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist in managing a team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. - Supervise the field coordinator in the scheduling of survey crews and office staff based on project deadlines. - Assist in overseeing the generation of all survey-related work, such as boundary & topography surveys, plats, ALTA, and construction surveying. - Compile and organize daily project field data. - Coordinate, communicate, and direct the work of the office staff and field crews to provide precise location and grade control for site construction projects on time. - Write proposals and perform monthly billing. - Review plans and projects with other depart...
