City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: Rotating Overview: Sentara is hiring a Full-time Pharmacy Technician II for our Outpatient Pharmacy at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Location: Sentara Leigh Hospital - Norfolk, VA Status: Full-time (40 hours per week) Mon-Fri Shift/Hours: 8:15am-5:15pm or 10:45am-7:15pm $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates! The Pharmacy Technician II performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. - Participates in the training of new employees - Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care - Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed - Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information - Assumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to pharmacy operations - Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements - Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately - In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. - A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice Education: -...
