Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, and the vision and values of the organization, works in a team based environment, assesses, diagnoses and treats the full range of communication and swallowing disorders for adult clients in home, facilities, community or clinic settings. Completes client reports, educates client/family, provides counseling and consultation, and presents lectures. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, risk management and research, and provides orientation to new team members and Speech-Language Pathology students. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & ExperienceCurrent full registration as a Speech Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).Two (2) years recent related speech language practice dealing with adults with acquired communication disorders and dysphagia, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBroad knowledge of evidence based practice.Broad knowledge of other health disciplines and their role in healthcare.
