Job description

Complies with program requirements and goals to support tribal youth by guiding them through prevention programs that build skills, knowledge, and resilience against suicide, substance abuse, and victimization. The Youth Advocate fosters strong relationships with parents, teachers, law enforcement, and partner agencies to create a supportive network. Creativity and adaptability are key, especially in using Audio/Visual and online platforms to engage youth effectively. Provides and coordinates outreach and awareness, victim advocacy, and case management services to youth and their families. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; 1 hour lunch break (These hours can vary depending on activity) Job Functions: Include, but not limited to, the following: - Coordinates prevention programs and activities for Native American youth and their families. - Assists with supervising prevention program staff, volunteers, and interns. - Assists in administering grant and program funding deliverables, including the timely completion of reports and budget recommendations. - Must become familiar with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Johnson O’Malley (JOM) program, and Title VI Indian...
