Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, constructs, repairs, and maintains wooden and steel structures, such as residential homes, office buildings, equipment, furniture, partitions and other parts of Community Mental Health Authority buildings, using hand and power tools. Performs both rough and fine carpentry tasks, minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. A minimum of three years’ experience as a carpenter is required. This experience may consist of three years apprenticeship and post-apprenticeship experience or three years of equivalent on-the-job training. Must have a valid Michigan driver's license.
