Job Summary The Maintenance Technician position performs preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. - Performs all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems (i.e. fabricating, welding troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance). - Understands the mill flow and mill schematics. - Maintains all equipment in good working condition. - Follows preventative maintenance schedule. - Able to perform routine services and troubleshoot and repair all mill equipment. - Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times. - Assists personnel on special fabrication and construction projects. - Performs machine repair and installation such as replacing motors, rebuilding gear boxes, run threaded piping, run weld piping, replace belting, replace bearings, welds and uses cutting torch. - Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment as needed. - Diagnoses and replaces equipment parts with little or no direction...
