A Day in the Life: In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Senior Reliability Software Engineer role. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Collaborates with cross-functional teams on design of software for class I, II and III medical devices per software standards, e.g. IEC62304. Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring on software engineering and software reliability best practices to quality engineers. Evaluates designs for potential failure modes, assesses potential hazards and harms, prioritizes safety risks, identifies appropriate risk controls, and compiles evidence to demonstrate benefits outweigh product risks. Design and execute software reliability tests to demonstrate software is reliable. Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, designs, and other engineering artifacts, ensuring timely delivery to meet program commitments.
