Job Title: Medical Assistant Department: Neuro: Location: 1425 Portland Ave - Parnall Bldg Suite 304 Hours Per Week: 40: SUMMARY: As a Medical Assistant, you are a non-licensed health care provider who, under the direction and supervision of a licensed health care provider, delivers direct and indirect patient care. You play an integral role in maintaining patient well-being, and contribute to the success of patients, physicians and licensed health care providers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Responsibilities: - Conducts pre-visit planning (PVP). Works reports for gaps and delinquencies (patient outreach and scheduling for follow up). Completes health maintenance, registry reports (gap work) - Accurately obtains and documents patient vital signs, history, and screenings. Recognizes deviations from the norms, and promptly reports to a licensed staff member. - Understands principles of obtaining an accurate EKG and attaches monitor leads and operates equipment when directed. Reports problems or malfunctions in a timely manner to a licensed staff member. Accurately completes appropriate documentation.
