The Lourie Center Head Start seeks to hire an experienced Head Start Teacher II who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Head Start Teacher II you will: - Create and establish a safe, healthy learning environment that provides physical and emotional safety - Provide emotional support through establishing a positive climate, being aware of and responsive to children, and encouraging child expression and autonomy - Analyze assessment data derived from ongoing observations in Teaching Strategies GOLD to guide curriculum, transition, and individual/group plan decisions - Implement the assigned curriculum using a variety of modalities and materials to provide developmentally appropriate instructional support - Maintain accurate written records, including assessments, special education documentation, screening instruments, anecdotal notes, and documents for transition to public school and parent/teacher and home visits; complies with deadlines set by supervisor - Use strat...
