EOC Central Utilities Plant - CUP Operator Basic Purpose of the Job Under general supervision will perform a variety of tasks related to the operation of the Central Utilities Plant. Minimum Work Experience Minimum two (2) years of experience at Operator level in Utilities Plant Operations, Boiler Hot Water Systems, Water Softener Systems, Cold Water, Hot/Heated Water, Fuel Distribution, Medical Grade Vacuum, Air, Instrument Air, Liquid Oxygen & Nitrous Oxide Distribution Systems. In addition, the Maceration Systems and processing of Medical Infectious Waste Streams. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities ▪ Must have the ability to effectively conduct minor or major repairs, troubleshoot all equipment under the CUP’s jurisdiction, read & interpret blueprints, diagrams & schematics while working either directly or indirectly with O & M manuals with little to no supervision and demonstrate the ability to solve or approach problems or tasks using creative methods or other resources. ▪ Able to communicate effectively with co-workers and other hospital staff, and transmit or receive information through writing, talking or listening using the English language. ▪ Must have ability to ma...
