Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client and family centred care model, and in accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, works as a member of an integrated team and plays a significant role in ensuring that patients have a positive experience with the designated services within a fast paced, high volume operating room booking/pre-admission environment. Performs scheduling of patient pre-admission appointments and clerical functions in support of the delivery of patient care, including using a variety of computerized applications such as ORMIS, PHAMIS and LastWord, and intermediate wordprocessing and spreadsheet software as well as considerable tact and diplomacy. Duties include scheduling a variety of patient appointments, rearranging schedules to meet changing demands/requests, preparing and confirming patient information, maintaining patient charts, entering data into a variety of computerized information systems, compiling statistical information, and acting as a receptionist.
