Hampton, Virginia Overview: The Mammographer in a diagnostic center setting is responsible for performing mammography exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all mammography exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation. What you will do: - Completes mammographic imaging studies and presents them for diagnosis. Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides clinical documentation per scope of practice. - Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care.
