Role overview Clinical: - Assessment, diagnosis of children and young people presenting with communication and/or feeding disorders. - Plans and provides high level speech pathology services to clients through individual therapy, group therapy, telehealth, home programs and school programs for children. - Evaluates the effectiveness of therapy programs and services. - Identifies and documents client goals, evaluate progress and plan re-evaluation. - Consults with family, school and other relevant stakeholders regarding assessment, diagnosis and management, including for clients with complex needs. - Provides clinical support and guidance to members of the Speech Pathology and multidisciplinary allied health team. - Provides appropriate programming and supervision to allied health assistants as required. - Participates in multidisciplinary assessment and treatment programs. - Develops and maintains resources for client management (e.g. programs). - Initiates and participates in quality improvement in consultation with line manager to evaluate service delivery and meet customer needs. - Participates in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice. - Functions as a member of a multidiscipl...
