THE SALVATION ARMY North and Central Illinois Division: Wonderland Camp and: Conference Center: POSITION DESCRIPTION: POSITION TITLE : Groundskeeper Assistant (Summer) LOCATION/DEPT : Wonderland Camp and Conference Center REPORTS TO : Maintenance Manager: FLSA CATEGORY : Non-Exempt: STATUS TYPE : TFT: MISSION: The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center exists to support the ministry of the Salvation Army by providing the opportunity to experience Christ through focused programs in a natural, safe, camp conference environment. OUTCOMES: Assist on camp as needed in the maintenance and housekeeping areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist with grounds-keeping requirements. - Assist with custodial work. - Assist with minor carpentry, log splitting, refuse removal, painting, etc. - Assist with housekeeping requirements when needed. - All other duties as assigned. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. In contacts related to this position’s duties this individual acts as a representative of the Army and its mission.
