Equipment Operator (Unfilled)

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join the team at Heart of Florida Landfill in Lake Panasoffkee, FL . Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus , but willing to train the right candidate. The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week. Pay Range for this position is $24-$26+ DOE. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed Spreading and compacting trash using a Compactor Spreading daily cover using a Dozer Excavating soil using an Excavator: Hauling soil: WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.
