Mechanical Fitter – Mackay Workshop We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our Mackay Workshop team. About the Role: As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in the stripping, assessment, refurbishment, repair and assembly of OEM mining and mineral processing equipment. Working within a safety-first environment, you will ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with FLS quality and workmanship expectations. This is a hands-on workshop-based role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering first-time quality outcomes and enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Your Responsibilities: Strip, assess, repair and refurbish mineral processing equipment Assemble and install components in accordance with approved procedures and technical drawings Inspect equipment and identify wear, defects or required repairs Complete workshop documentation, including digital and paper-based reports Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to all safety requirements Participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives Support FLSmidth’s strong commitment to safety, quality and tea...
