Job DetailsJob Location: Medina Regional Hospital 3100 Ave E - Hondo, TX 78861Position Type: PRNTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: NightsPOSITION PURPOSE: Provides nursing care services to women during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period in accordance with the policies of MHS and directives of the medical staff. Possess the ability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instruction or directions. Adheres to MHS Standard Precaution policy and procedure. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor. Work with supervisors, other department managers and medical staff in order to provide the best patient care possible. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares mothers for the process of labor and delivery. Monitors high-risk patients closely to ascertain any conditions that may require the care of the Physician. Attends to the comfort of the mother in labor, and assists the mother in the delivery room in having a safe delivery. Administers medications, blood transfusions, and emergency measures necessary in the case of such conditions as hemorrhage or shock.
