Field based, covering 10 sites in London As our field based Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of all systems in retail stores with guidance and direction from SME when on site for smart hands. This is a 12 month fixed term contract as an employee. RESPONSIBILITIES: Setting up new POS equipment, ensuring proper integration, and performing routine maintenance to keep systems functioning optimally. Diagnosing and resolving issues related to POS hardware and software, including malfunctions, connectivity problems, and system failures. Applying software updates, installing new features, and ensuring compatibility with existing systems. Providing technical assistance to store staff and customers, answering questions, and resolving issues related to retail store operations. Managing and maintaining and updated stock or spare parts used as needed for repairs and maintenance. Working with store management and IT teams to prioritize maintenance needs and ensure system efficiency.
