Tenured/Tenure Track: Assistant or Associate Professor in Literacy

Description The Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture in the School of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University invites applicants for one full time Tenured/Tenure Track position in Literacy (Reading, Writing) at the rank of Assistant or Associate (successful applicants seeking the title of Associate Professor may be granted the opportunity for tenure review upon hire) for qualified candidates to begin in the 2023-2024 academic year. This is nine-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2023, but could be negotiated. Responsibilities of the position include (a) maintaining a vibrant funding and intervention research agenda in literacy education of national/international significance, (b) teaching effectively using evidence-based practices at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (c) enhancing and elevating literacy education research and practice applied to the preparation of the next generation of teachers, researchers and academic leaders.
