Clinical Technician I EMU - Overnights and Rotating - ( 26002142 ) Description The Clinical Technician I supports the University of Iowa Health Care Department of Neurology by independently monitoring patients in the adult and pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) via digital electroencephalogram (EEG) equipment and audiovisual (AV) equipment. This position is responsible for the initiating and terminating EMU studies, as well as ensuring studies are recorded and maintaining the quality of the recordings. The Clinical Tech identifies clinical and electrographic events during the studies and responds appropriately, notifying personnel as needed. Position Responsibilities: Assists higher-level staff in performance of their duties as assigned.
