Manager- Houston Fabrication Shop

Job description

The Manager of the Houston Fabrication Shop will provide leadership and oversight of all shop operations, including the development and implementation of efficient, sustainable business processes and systems. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fabrication and repair work on structures, tanks, and other oilfield equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and operational excellence. The position reports directly to the Director of the Houston Rig-Up Yard. Detailed Description: - Collaborate with Management and Human Resources to develop and implement flexible workforce strategies that address the challenges of recruiting and retaining fabrication shop personnel in a highly cyclical industry environment. - Develop fabrication procedures and establish clear quality standards; implement robust Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes to ensure all work is compliant - Develop supply chain and procurement operations to support the fabrication facility - Work with Engineering to ensure an efficient method of drawing management is deployed, including methods to capture anomalies or errors in drawings and have them corrected - Champio...
