The geotechnical team at the Canal & River Trust are responsible for managing and maintaining the safety and integrity of earth structures across the network, such as embankments, cuttings, dams, and reservoirs. They assess ground conditions, monitor risks like landslides and erosion, and plan inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure the long-term stability of waterways infrastructure.
