Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 25 Compensation: Union Position: No Department Details: Summary: Primary duties of a purchasing assistant is working closely with Sanford departments to process orders requested by end users. Maintain purchase orders and address purchasing issues until the products are delivered, received and invoices are paid to close the purchase order. Job Description: Procurement of items through the creation of Purchase orders submitted to suppliers, monitoring and expediting orders as requested. Resolves shipments errors with suppliers. Strive to achieve maximum value in the purchase of materials and services per established contracts. Negotiate terms, price, and conditions in the event of a non-established contract. Such conditions include the purchasing of supplies, equipment, services, shipping and returning of product for credit with assigned categories.
