Overview and Responsibilities The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of manual and technical work specifically related to the repair and maintenance of Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) facilities. This position reports to the Director of Facilities or Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities: - Perform general maintenance (e.g., plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, grounds and construction activities) for all College facilities. - Construct new and/or modify existing facilities via finish remodels. - Install and maintain stud walls (including finishing and painting), ceiling tile and grid, cove base, and carpet. - Repair, install, modify, renovate, or remove equipment, furniture, or materials owned or operated by CVTC. - Install and maintain building door hardware such as closers, hinges, locks, electric strikes, overhead doors, automatic door openers, etc. - Advanced knowledge in plumbing repair and maintenance. - Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance skills as related to commercial/industrial buildings. - Perform general maintenance work including, but not limited to, snow removal (sweeping and shoveling sidew...
