POSITION SUMMARY: Performs duties that provide a secure and safe environment to patients, staff, equipment and facilities of the Mount Nittany Health System. Education: High School education or equivalent. Experience: Three years of Law enforcement, hospital security, corrections, military, state parole required License/Certification/Registration: - Ability to communicate calmly and clearly in stressful situations. - Ability to work with all departments in the health system. - Interact positively with patients, visitors, and outside agencies. - Ability to interact in a professional manner with external law enforcement agencies in the performance of job duties. (may include; Local and State Police, State Parole, FBI, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals) - Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution on how it relates to the function of a Mount Nittany Health Police Officer. - Demonstrates the physical stamina and condition to perform the duties of the position. - Ability to handle evidence control pertaining to MNH initiated criminal investigations. - Will be accountable for the transportation of those subjected to criminal arrest and subsequent prosecutio...
