Job Details PRN Xray Tech Position-Every other weekend (evening shift) as well as one weekday shift. Holiday Requirement. Job Description: Job Summary: The Radiology Technologist performs x-ray scans of patient's internal anatomy to aid physicians in diagnosing illnesses, diseases, or injuries. Executes radiologic services in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provides consultation advice to patients and radiology professionals. Delivers patient care and education before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsibilities: - Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. - Appropriately positions radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. - Explains radiographic procedure to the patient, obtains complete and accurate history relevant to the examination to being performed. - Communicate effectively with the patient. - Provides staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards, including placement of shields/aprons in order to limit radiation exposure. - Implements and monitors lo...
