OT System Administrator

Job description

PURPOSE: The OT Network Administrator will support the Operations Division (Manufacturing and Warehousing) by managing the OT/IT infrastructure in throughout the manufacturing and warehouse distribution facilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Assist with managing, maintaining, and supporting the OT/IT network infrastructure and related components - Act as liaison between the SMC Operational Division and IT teams - Review and recommend network-related hardware and software technologies, designs, and services - Troubleshoot and resolve network, application, and system issues - Coordinate changes to IT processes & systems (examples, Active Directory, backups, firewalls, network switches, software applications, SQL servers, VMWare environment) to minimize operational impact - Support current and legacy computer systems in OT environment - Respond to equipment downtime issues in the plant and establish any required outside resources to assist in responding to issues quickly - Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interruption of production - Support a variety of technologies such as human-machine interfaces (HMI), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and supervisory control an...
