About this Role Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to accelerate how Consumer Technology builds, ships, and operates software at enterprise scale. You’ll be a hands‑on engineer who pairs deep software engineering skill with platform thinking—designing APIs, applications, playbooks, and providers that power our Internal Developer Platform and reliability toolchain. Your focus will span Platform Engineering (infrastructure as code, developer portals, service templates, GitOps) and Reliability Engineering (SLOs/error budgets, resilient architectures, observability) with room to lean into your strength area. In this role, you will: Design and build platform capabilities as products: APIs, controllers, operators, and Infrastructure as Code providers that enable self‑service infrastructure, secure defaults, and golden paths. Advance reliability engineering across SDLC: define SLOs/error budgets, design for graceful degradation and resiliency, and embed observability through standardized libraries and templates.
