Job description

The Opportunity Responsible for purchasing parts and materials for production, sales and inventory. Work with vendors monitor KPIs and build and execute performance improvement plans where needed. Provide input on opportunities to improve product flow, consolidate buying needs and reduce acquisition costs. The Role: - Monitor and participate in Health and Safety programs - Process and execute purchasing activities as requested for all areas of distribution, production and stock levels. - Adhere to company purchasing policies, procedures and approval processes. - Work with suppliers to maintain effective relationships and ensure on-time delivery of product, communicating any delivery changes to partners and updating orders accordingly. - Track and communicate details pertaining to shipping, delivery, delays and order status. - Produce KPI, metric and performance reports as necessary. - Additional tasks and duties as required. The Candidate: Education: High School; College or Trade or Certifications. Post-Secondary certification and/or SCMP designation is considered an asset.
