Responsible for maintaining the security of resident population and staff at the Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute. Maintain constant and positive interactions with patients on the unit. Ensure unit security presence on each unit and on each shift. Respond to emergency codes on the units. Ultimate control over the safety of the patients on designated unit through efficient and compliant use of Therapeutic Options (TO) and approved de-escalation techniques. Assignment will be to specific unit and or units with occasional rotations to other units/areas as needed. Responsible for leading the safety culture and initiatives on the units.
