Department: 35405 High Point Medical Center - Nursing: Short Stay Observation Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: - 3 12 hour shifts weekly - 7am-7pm - Weekend rotation Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work: The Observation Unit is a 12-bed general medical-surgical unit that handles acute patients with expected stays less than 36 hours. Upon completion of 6 months in the Observation Unit, you will be crossed-trained for the Clinical Decision Unit, which is a 12-bed extension of the Emergency Department. The Clinical Decision Unit handles patients that are requiring extended Emergency Department stays; however, they are expected to be discharged within 24 hours. The Clinical Decision Unit is a protocol driven unit.
