Job description

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Research Lab Manager for the Biobank. The Research Lab Manager - Biobank is responsible for working with minimal supervision and performs assignments independently as discussed and approved by the Laboratory Director, Research Scientist and or Program Administrator. Independently oversees and performs laboratory experiments and procedures in support of biorepository lab goals (e.g., biorepository, cell/tissue culture, clinical trial processing, etc.). Must have understanding and proficiency with biobanking and human specimen collection, processing and storage. Implement, establish and maintain robust quality control, laboratory policies and SOP’s including those pertaining to regulatory agencies such as CAP. Supervises lab personnel and serves as the primary contact for the laboratory. Manages the training lab personnel in applicable regulations and lab techniques. Ensures safety requirements are met and serves as the emergency contact for the laboratory. Ensures viability of materials, reagents, and specimens.
