The Administrative Compliance Unit assists all business units within the Department on issues including contracts, MOUs, general legal issues, grants, operating procedures, PREA and ADA compliance, inmate discipline and grievances, and American Correctional Association (ACA) compliance. This position ensures that the Virginia Department of Corrections operates in full compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and contractual obligations. The position provides legal and regulatory guidance related to contracts, Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), privacy and data protection, correctional standards, and operational compliance.
