Position Purpose: Oversee the duties and responsibilities of Referral Clerks/Coordinators, as well as perform the hands-on duties as out-lined below. The Referral Coordinator Lead will ensure that patients needing specialty services can access them in a timely and efficient manner. The lead will have ongoing interactions with the team members to discuss roles, responsibilities, communication, and patient hand-off, working together to provide and enhance the care provided to patients. MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS: - Oversee the duties and responsibilities of all Referral Coordinators and Referral Clerks while also performing referral coordination duties as needed. - Review and revise workflows as necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the referral process. - Ensure all referrals are processed daily and in a timely manner. - Ensure all i2i follow-ups are completed daily. - Ensure all incoming calls are answered and patient messages/voicemails are returned promptly. - Ensure completed referrals are appropriately closed in NextGen and i2i. - Ensure approved authorization letters are mailed to patients in a timely manner. - Attend meetings related t...
