Engineering Technician (Development Services)

Job description

Salary: $20.10 - $33.17 Job Overview: This position is part of the Right-of-Way Permitting Team within the Development Services Department. The ideal candidate should have technical knowledge of utility design and installation, traffic engineering knowledge as it pertains to roadway access, and have a strong knowledge of standard customer service best practices. Experience in call center, customer relationship management software and comfort with face-to-face interactions is a plus. Must be able to make quick and critical decisions within a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. This position will require the individual to correspond/interact with various managers/leaders from other sections and departments and occasionally with commissioner aides so the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing is a must. This position will manage the team’s review logs and aid in zoning and site reviews.
