Job description

Compensation Salary Schedule: Overview: To effectively plan, coordinate and supervise the Transportation Business and Support Services in an efficient and effective manner in support of Transportation Services and other work locations, and support functions consistent with the District’s expected ends/results and priority issues. QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of all facets of transportation operation management, state statutes, state board of education regulations, federal DOT regulations and district policies is preferred. Knowledge of finance, budget development and procurement practices is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and management ability. Ability to use effective public relations skills; ability to analyze data; ability to use effective interview techniques, coaching procedures, and evaluation procedures; ability to effectively use problem solving skills; knowledge of group dynamics. Effective oral and written communication skills; knowledge of computer systems; ability to apply principles of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) in daily activities; skill in preparation of routine correspondence in support of transportation services.
