Process Control Specialist

Job description

Overview The Process Control Specialist is responsible for providing process control leadership in support of the reliable operation and continuous improvement at the Bishop Plant. This role is responsible for providing reliable DCS operation in the areas of hardware and software support, including upgrades, backups, and performance tracking. This role works alongside other Process Control resources to provide daily control system troubleshooting, optimization, and improvement for the production units. Responsibilities: Primary Functions: - Point of contact for day-to-day controls optimization and improvement - Provide support and assistance for plant DCS systems as needed to support operations - Support capital and expense projects, as needed, for plant improvements including design and implementation - Support engineers, operations and maintenance technicians in troubleshooting production unit issues - Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and process control issues - Schedule and complete software backups and PM’s, as needed, including ensuring that system backup files are kept in compliance with plant guidelines - Assist in the development of operating procedures and Oper...
