Apprentice, Laundry Service Technician

Job description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assist laundry service technician in trouble shooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on all types of laundry equipment. You will report to the Laundry Service Lead Technician. Primary Tasks: 1. Assist laundry service technician in ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, and production machines. 2. Learn, train with, and obtain technical knowledge from all members of the team. 3. Assist laundry service technician in locating sources of problems including observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for mechanical problems, and using measuring tools. 4. Inspect motors, electrical circuits, belts, hydraulics, and air systems to locate malfunctions and repairs. 5. Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, this includes cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting. 6.
