Description The School of Engineering at Tufts University invites applications for the endowed Epsilon Energy Materials Innovation Professorship and inaugural Director of the Tufts Epsilon Materials Institute ( TEMI ) faculty position. TEMI is a recently-established collaborative partnership between Tufts University and Epsilon Group, an industrial leader in advanced carbon materials for batteries and other applications. TEMI seeks to address global challenges in energy and sustainability through breakthrough materials research. Applicants will be considered at the full Professor rank but exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor rank are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an impactful, highly visible research program, provide visionary leadership for TEMI, oversee the growth of TEMI including additional tenure track hires to be made in the next 2-3 years, and demonstrate excellence in teaching and student mentorship.
