Job Description: About the Role: OPIS - a Dow Jones Company, is looking to expand its analytics capabilities within our Spot Editorial team. As Lead Data Analyst - Energy Spot Markets, you will use your comprehensive technical skills to gather and analyze Americas spot market fundamentals data. You will innovate streamlined processes and manage the creation of new reports, to enhance the work of our team of energy price editors at OPIS/Dow Jones Energy. You will also act as a backup price assessor to provide another layer of depth to content and operations.You have a deep understanding of how to illustrate market trends and identify key insights using fundamentals, statistics and modeling while incorporating economic and market sentiment indicators. You will use your strong writing and data visualization skills to communicate findings internally to daily price reporters and/or externally to customers through published news content. You will report to the Journalism Director.
