Organisation: Leicestershire County Council Work Location: County Hall, Leicestershire, LE3 8RA Salary: £98,673 - £111,606 (pro rata for part-time), Pay award pending Working Hours: 37 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent: Closing Date: 9th June 2026: Interview Date(s): 29th June 2026: We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to lead Leicestershire County Council’s highways and transport operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving over 4,000km of road network, managing the council’s vehicle fleet, ensuring design and delivery of the highways and transport capital programme and providing the county’s home to school, SEN and adult social care transport. We operate a mixed market economy with many services delivered in-house, backed by ongoing market testing so a keen commercial drive to continually improve productivity will be a key component of the role.
