Exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehab staff to provide quality care to patients and families on the inpatient hematology oncology service. The Social Worker provides a key role in assessing and supporting the psycho-social needs of patients and their support networks and addressing barriers to care to help optimize outcomes. Opportunity to utilize brief counseling skills to support patient adjustment and engagement in treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team and community-based agencies to help address barriers and facilitate transitions along the continuum of care. Clinical supervision and professional development are provided and highly valued. Experience in Oncology or hospital Social Work preferred.
