Job description

Summary The Model Teacher leader will provide instruction for 2 or more classes/ courses and provide coaching/mentoring to fellow teachers. Essential Duties: - Provides content-related and appropriate instruction based on Fulton County’s curriculum - Provides model classroom environment which promotes active learning in subject area - Assists teachers with the implementation of the Georgia Standards - Works with teachers to improve classroom management and climate through the implementation of effective instructional methods - Analyzes student and teacher test data to determine teaching and learning effectiveness for each concept taught - Analyzes student test data and advises teachers and appropriate staff of trends, outcomes, needs and effective practices - Demonstrates, monitors, and evaluates the application of effective teaching strategies - Recommends best practices to achieve the desired student learning outcomes - Coordinates site-based professional learning activities as needed - Conducts professional development at the school as needed - Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment - Participates in periodic professional learning activities - Perform...
