Job description

Under the direction of the Supervisor Steward, the Lead Steward is primarily responsible for assisting in the cleanliness of the kitchen, service pantry, silverware, china and glassware. Operates in representation of the Stewarding team’s best in class culture, while championing the goals and priorities of the Enterprise in a manner that reflects and upholds our vision, mission and values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Leads and assists Utility Workers in maintaining assigned culinary work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition for improved performance. Delegates shift station responsibilities and supervises kitchen when called upon and directed by management. 2. Responsible for overall cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of immediate workspace and assigned areas following procedures in place. Responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitizing various kitchen equipment, including china, glassware, flatware, and smallware, following established procedures to meet current guidelines and regulations.
