Description Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Detroit Headquarters, working on several high-profile urban land development projects that are contributing to the revitalization of the City of Detroit. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects and assist a wide variety of client types from architects, developers, property owners and real estate professionals. You will work in a team environment led by a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager on a variety of tasks. Typical responsibilities include: - Site plan layout - Geometrics - Grading - Pavement design - Soil erosion and sediment control - Utility (storm sanitary and water) design - Stormwater management and green infrastructure design - Traffic plans - Details - Record drawings and specifications - Prepare permit applications and cost estimates - Attend meetings - Conduct field visits - Perform construction administration tasks What we offer: In-person collaboration and mentoring are paramount to the success of this position.
