Job description

The Career Advisor I (CA) is a pivotal role on the team. The CA provides career counseling and coaching to help customers enhance their training and professional skillset to obtain employment in their desired field. The CA expands job seeker employment opportunities through career exploration strategies and directly impacts C2 GPS’ mission success. Provides client-centered career services and case management to individuals participating in TANF, SNAP Employment & Training, and other grant funded programs. Builds trusting, respectful relationships with participants to understand their goals, strengths, and challenges; develops individualized employment plans; and offers supportive coaching, job readiness assistance, and connections to training and community resources. Supports participants at their own pace while promoting stability, employment, and long-term self-sufficiency. Initial focus is SNAP Employment & Training, however, we reserve the right to make adjustments to area(s) of focus based on the needs of the organization, our customer, and funding.
