STV is seeking a Construction Inspector for our Transportation Northeast department in Hartford, CT *****No sponsorships are available for this position***** Responsibilities: - Inspect construction activities related to highway/bridges, facilities/buildings, or rail/transit projects. - Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and verifying contractor submissions. - Identify and document nonconforming work and ensure timely corrective action - Review project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders. - Complete daily work reports with photographs and progress documentation - Track and document quantities of work performed by the contractor - Resolve construction problems and challenges in the field - Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and agency representatives, to facilitate project success. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science with 1 year of experience or NICET Level 1 with 2 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection.
