Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic I to install, remove, and relocate common telephone systems equipment for Little Rock AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: - Support installation, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of both voice and non-voice communications systems such as intercom systems, public address systems, alarm systems, teletype equipment, telephone key systems/PBAXs, and terminal and communications equipment. - Run cables and house wires to telephone sets and terminating equipment for both voice and non-voice circuits. - Install, remove, maintain, and repair voice and non-voice communication systems, including intercoms, public address systems, and alarm systems. - Handle electronic and electromechanical telephone key systems/PBAXs and associated terminal and communication equipment. - Run and connect cables to telephone sets, terminal connectors, and key telephone equipment. - Perform maintenance and repair of OSP cable systems, including copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling (aerial, buried, direct buried, and underground). - Terminate, splice, locate, mark, test, tag, and cross-connect cable pair...
